Keeping notebook cool

I was wondering what you guys are using to keep cool your notebooks?

I have a new i7 Asus notebook and the cooler pad I'm using isn't strong enough for it I find. When I had my dual core notebook I would feel it cooling as I typed but know the i7 is more powerful the heat is greater...

Would be curious to get some good suggestions for this issue!

I have i7 2630QM in My Dell XPS, I don't use a cooling pad as it doesn't heat up where cooling pad is placed.
Laptops don't really need cooling pads. The are efficiently designed to remove the heat. My XPS has one exhaust, even then it doesn't get that hot, even when the CPU is at turbo. I assume that your Asus has dual exhaust, I don't really see why you will need a cooling pad. :)

It will heat up during intense use and a cooling pad will help in a sense. I bought mine at bestbuy and mine has two huge silent fans that pool the air away, where as without, the hot air it would just collect under the laptop possible recirculate back through the side vents.
