i got this error as soon as my scroller button stop working.
[stopped opening new windows/tabs from links]

it would need to close my browser

how do i fix it?

Have you tried re-installing your browser?

Weird how there is no information on kernel2.dll on google....
I suggest re-installing and if it doesn't work we'll see if it's a virus or not.

hi tried re-installing the program, still doesn't work.
i ran 2 different virus scanners [etrust & avg] [not at the same time]
both came out with nothing found.

oh u goggled it too?
when i googled it i mostly found other people posting problems with it. i didn't really see one because of the scroller mouse button. but because of other programs, so i thought i would post my situation.

Well the one where they say it's a problem is an advertisement for a software... And all the other problems from kernel32.dll don't give you the way to repair this...

I suggest changing browser... Try Firefox or IE ( my favorite is Firefox :D).

so there is no known fix? how would i replace the file?

thanks for the link to the download
and for the virus scan.

i have done what you have suggested, and it seems that it isn't me allowing me to copy the file.

Kernel32.dll is in a protected space in WinXP so that no one can take his space to let him work properly. This program is constantly in use...

I'm sorry but I don't know the answer to that...

In Safe Mode, bring up TaskManager and look for kernel32.dll then right-click on it, choose "End Task Tree". Now try copying the file again..
