Hi,

I have some software, and it says that the key has expired. If i restore my system, can I just reinstall the software so I can use it again? Or, is there like a "shortcut" to get the key reactivated?

Contact the software company and renew the key.

Generally when a product key expires it is on a shareware trial version with a specific time limit in order to try the program out before buying the full version. Once that time is up all you can do is remove the tryout and purchase the retail version which has no expiration date and even may see updates for a period of time. If you are able to renew a key it would probably be to download a new copy with no expiration date there. Most software companies will also offer a copy of the program on cd for the additional price that will be shipped directly to you. That can help if your drive fails or you buy a new system where you can then install the program there.
