Keyboard doesn't work? Computer keeps restarting?

Okay, so I was on the computer. I downloaded this program, and then it wouldn't work right because I needed a serial number. I figured this was illegal so i uninstalled the program and when it was done uninstalling [i think] this thing came up. It was a little box with a yellow triangle and it had two buttons. I clicked one button because I thought it meant that the uninstalltion was complete. The computer then restarted. I tried starting it up again and it starts then my old norton program [ to lazy to refresh it 2006], says it shut my computer down due to a hardware bug. I push okay, and it just gets to the windows loading screen loads all the way it finishes, then it says no signal and reboots. It restarts again and does the same thing. I tried using windows xp repair but for some reason none of the keyboards I have work on it now. Is this some kind of virus that disables my keyboard and computer too? Am i totally screwed? Or is there a way to fix my conundrum?

is os the windows you have? i have windows xp student edition.
can you do that without a keyboard? if not then i havent, also if you can how do you do that?

Yes OS means Operating System (Windows). Just boot up into Windows normally. Then go to start - All programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore. When it appears put a check next to "Restore my computer to an earlier time" and press next. Then select a time on there that was earlier than the time that the problems started, then press next. Then finish by keep pressing next. Then let it do its thing.

no you dont understand. the problem is, when the windows xp loading screen is loading it loads then a screen that is all black but a yellow box saying no signal, then it restarts. i cant even get to the Thing to do system restore. i cant even type in my login password for my username.

Well then you are only limited to a FULL system restore. You will end up loosing everything then. Unless you can boot up into safe mode. Restart your pc and when your bios page appears click F8 repeatedly. A screen should come up asking what to do. Select Safe mode.

Do you have a guest account active or an account w/o a password?

OKay i fixed the keyboard problem, i got an adapter so it plugs it the other keyboard thing that isn't usb. So i go to windows repair and everything, but when it says agree[f8]/ no agree [esc] i cant push f8 i can only push esc to reboot. I dont no why, the keyboard still responds.

ou should have mentioned to us that it was a usb keyboard!!! I prob could have helped you then. So, what problems now?

well, safe mode doesn't work. i boot it and it works then the loading screen comes up.. then its like no signal and restarts..and yeah. i tried windows repair but when i do that it goes fine, then it says do u agree to this thing. if so push f 8 and i do and it doesnt do anything. strangely, if i push esc like it says, it exits the windows repair thing and restarts again. its like something doesn't want me to agree?

is my harddrive trashed?

well, try the "last known settings that worked" option...

if that doesn't help either u might have to restore your registry since as u said uninstallation of a software triggered it. For that u wud need to have a boot disk..
