Keyboard help

Hey, I just formatted my hdd and installed windows. Right now windows is in the middle of installation but I need to type the name and organization (like always) as part of the setup. For some reason though, the computer is not recognizing my keyboard so I can't do this...

Any suggestions?

Is this a USB keyboard? If it is, you may have to reboot, get into your BIOS and check for USB keyboard support, reformat and start over. If it's not a USB keyboard, you may have to reboot and see if you can access the BIOS at all. If not, then either your keyboard or your PS/2 port(s) may be on the fritz.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, it is a usb keyboard. Also, the keyboard doesn't seem to be working at all but here's the strange thing: First of all, it was working perfectly fine right before I started to format. Second, when I unplug the keyboard and plug it back in, the lights for caps lock, number lock, etc. all flash on but then go off. So, I guess the keyboard is getting power via usb but something else isn't working right. Furthermore, my mouse works fine, no matter which usb port it is connected to, so it can't be a problem with the ports.

Any other ideas??
