Have an HP Pavilion dv6........the "f" key does not respond to touch, and the "alt" key to left of space bar does not, either(found that out by not being able to get to task manager with ctrl+alt+del, worked with alt to right of space bar)......worried that one day, a password key does not respond.....
Have removed the key cover....there is no dirt/dust underneath....push on the boot directly, and the key does not respond....
Is the keyboard bad?.....could it be the ribbon connection? Nothing has been spilled on the keyboard.......never dropped/jarred....Have read that HP has problems with keyboards?
If keyboard, cost of a new one? Is this worth doing, since the PC is now 5 years old?
