Keyboard making wrong keys

Hello,

Ive got a PS2 Keyboard and for some reason the when i want to use a pound sign or dollar sign etc, i get a different symbol,

For example say i want a pound sign, so i press shift and 3, but i get this #

any know why

i haven't git any driver cd's for it or anything

goto control panel -> regional and languages, then goto languages tab, then press details for input langauges. Make sure your default layout is uk -english, not us english
