Keyboard not responding in dos

My keyboard doesn't respond in dos fullscreen mode if I run it in windows normal mode but it does work if I run windows in safemode.
What can I do please help.
I have Windows Xp.
And sorry for my bad english I hope somebody understands what I mean.

is it an ctive keyboard??

Could it be that the key board is from a big company like logitech. If that is the case. it could be that you istald a driver from cd. so the keyboard is running from a not so standard driver. Dos will not see it so you can't work with it.

in safe mode all special drivers are shut down, so your keyboard runs on a standard driver.

try uninstaling your keynorad, and reinstaling it whitout that driver.

But al specials functions like an internet/mail/msn/what ever button won't work

The keyboard is not active and it's not from big company.
The driver is "Standard keyboard driver".

do you have another keyboard that you can swap it with..

one of my friends had a very similar problem recently, turned out he needed a new keyboard..

its a long shot but it could save you a lot of time and grief
