Keyboard Problems

Hey friends.

I have a Sony VGN-CR420E laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.
It is an Intel Core2 Duo CPU T8100 @ 2.10GHz, 3.0GB RAM and it is Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family.

This computer is my dream computer but it has started having a problem. The keyboard cuts in and out. Sometimes it's random and sometimes it's when the computer is running a program and I am typing in another program.

I haven't dropped it or treated it poorly in any way. I have attempted using the restore discs and completly redoing the computer and I have also tried installing Vista with my own disc and it still has the problems.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the keyboard drivers but I still have this problem.

PLEASE HELP ME! Thanks friends.

My first thought would be that multitasking is setting your keystrokes off a bit, but you do have core2 duo so that shouldn't be an issue. Do you have any startup programs that run in the background. I know this happens to me with norton 360 on startup. After about a minute it is fine, once all applets are loading.

The only thing to do would be to check programs running in the background, or test another usb port, or even a serial port if your laptop has one.
