keyboard wrong symbols

this is on a laptop actually but i dont think it makes a difference. when i type on the keyboard some of the letters type out numbers. ive restarted and and took at the battery to drain the power. then i started in safemode and it worked fine. but now when i start in regular mode it has the same problem

try going to: Start>Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Languages>details

yes im sure cause it worked in safemode. well i wanted to know why it was doing it but i took the easy way out and did system restore. thanks guys for the help. the keys i j k l and a few more on that side of the keyboard would produce numbers.

its because your num lock was on, i had this problem a few months back, nice to hear its sorted now tho.
