My keyboard doesnt work on startup... How can i make it work?

I cant gt past the first screen because i get a message saying

CMOS Checksum error - Defaults Loaded
Warning! CPU has changed.
Please Enter CPU Speed CMOS Setup and Remember to Save Before Exit.

Now... I obviously need to press DEL to get into the BIOS

But how can i get my keyboard to work?!?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Regards, Jay

If its USB, try using a PS/2 keyboard or a USB-to-PS/2 Converter. I have the same problem with my keyboard when its plugged in via USB.

its ps2. i'v tried three types of ps/2 keyboard and 2 usb keyboards along with a usb keyboard with a usb to ps/2 adaptor and still nothing?

has your system found it if not it could just be the plug on the keyboard that plugs in to the usb is broken
