keystroke emulation

I am looking for a technique that will allow me to trigger a key combination on the keyboard by pressing a single button on the same keyboard. For example, I have a web camera program that will take a picture when I press ctrl+T, and I would like to be able to press one of the function keys to trigger that key combination. Is there some specialized software program that would allow me to set up something like this?

Are you using Windows? If by rare chance you are using a Mac, you can already do that with Automator.

Yes I am using windows. The quickkey program looks interesting, but I don't think it quite does what I need. It can emulate specific keystrokes, but it sounds like you have to click on the character to send a keystroke to a specific program.

I'm sorry but I should've told you I'm looking for freeware. I have totally different way of accomplishing what I need for far less than those programs, but I'm trying to exhaust all options before I actually buy anything.

well you get what you pay for in the Windows world definitely and while I did not point you to free ware, you could easily google search similar products yourself that are freeware or open source. At the very least I set you on the path, but like I said before I haven't used any of those products it will be up to you to research them.
