Looking to buy a PC from http://www.cyberpowerpc.com but really need experts to tell me what I am doing wrong. I don't want to purchase parts and assemble them. The short-term goal is to have a pc that can play SC2 very well. I don't plan on overclocking or using multiple video cards with this pc. With that said, some of my parts may be overkill while others may be way below standard. The key is to stay in the $800-850 range with Windows 7. I don't really care about monitors, keyboards, speakers, but just the actual pc.

I would appreciate any and all comments in order for me to get a nice video game pc in the $800-$850 range. Specs are below. Thanks so much!

That's pretty much the best AMD setup you can get a $800. Faster RAM would be nice though. Never heard of XtremeGear for the PSU. That's not a good thing. The PSU blows, your system is kaput.

All in all, nice rig :)

EDIT Are you sure we can't persuade you to build yourself? ;)

There's loads more choice, and it's not as hard as people make out.

Man I would love to put it all together but how long does a total noob take to learn. What are the chances I will fry my whole system?

Would assembly take any special tools?

btw thanks for the response!!!

We have a thread here that explains in detail on how to build a system.

http://www.computerforum.com/104641-how-build-computer-step-step-photos.html

First time buildeing a computer might take you an hour to put everything together.

The only tools required would be philips screw driver.

And perhaps a set of needle nose pliers to put the standoffs in your case, although even that is doable by hand.

$850 will net you quite a nice system for gaming built yourself:

Wow only an hour to get it up and running. That surprises me.

Bomberboy - thanks for the two options! That gives me a good amount of info to consider.

I will review the thread about building a system. My big concerns are getting the mb in place correctly, the cpu inserted with fan, and connecting everything to the psu.

thanks fastdude and everyone else!!! I have a few projects that need done to the house before I take the leap. I know if I get the new pc and SC2 all those projects will NEVER happen..LOL

Get a brand PSU, consair 650W
CPU - can off to cheaper Phenom IIx4 955 if you just use it for gaming.
Video card - get 5750 if you can

I am pretty sure that I am going to order parts from newegg tonight. I will use bomberboy combo 1 or 2 discounts.

One last set of questions...

1 - Will the case come with everything needed to mount all the parts / drives? Is there anything else needed not listed in option 1 or 2 to get the pc running...I have a nice keyboard / mouse / monitor.

2 - nevermind, answered my own question.

The parts I plan to order:
