I'm 17...so When i was younger when we first got a computer I was 13 and always downloading stuff ..porno and all that stupid things are first computer was messed up badly.we had to get it fixed like 4 times....

Well Now we got the Xp so they gave Me the other computer WIndows Me...i have been lookin up info for about a couple of months on computer and ways to fix them ...about a month ago i came here...i've leanrt alot of from ya'll...enough to clean the Unnesscesay files and malwar and adware,trojans and when i got here and read them..before that i never knew what them was so i fixed my computer pretty good learnt to clean the inside of the motherboard and everything.....well here is my thing..

My dad wont do nothin i tell em to he thinks the things i tell him.(the things i leanrt from people on here) he thinks its'll give me abunch of virus'es and stuff thats will mess up a computer and i aint alowed to download nothin on this computer and i'd reallyu hate a beautiful computer to get messed up like the old one,

I was kinda hopin y'll would Write a letter in this thread tellin hiom about a few things that he is wrong about so i can go in a anoymous email and send it to him...so maybe he'll be more open minded i ask ya'll to do it ...cause cause can write better english and it'll seem smarted then comin from a kid who made D +'s in english and writin in school...if ya'll could do that it'll be most apprectaited
 
Hmm, ok... Well, first of all, how can we tell him what he is wrong about when we don't know what he has said in the first place?

Also, you haven't even been registered for more than a month yet, lol :P
 
it aint bouut what he has said...it jus wont take advise from me ..and i want ya'll to advise him to taakin action to all this shit so his computer wont get infected...and its close to a month dude
 
Well, if he wont take adive from you, he aint going to take advice from a 15 year-old person. Better wait until an adult comes around.
 
Build with what you have, show him you know what you can do on that machine... wait for th other pc to get messed up.. then fix it for him... Show him you have some credibility, dont make stuff up... Adults arent completely ignorant.
 
On average a computer will be infected with spyware or a virus with in 12 minutes of surfin the web without the protection of a good firewall and antivirus...if pops dont want to install them we will see him posting in the security section on this forum in the future...lol!
 
how about just going along with what he says, refuce to help him out with his computer, then when it gets totally messed up let hime take it to a shop which charges rip-off prices to get it fixed, then when it comes back tell him that you could have fixed it all for him, and he just wasted a load of money, maybe that'll teach him?

My dad used to be the same, refusing to let me update anti-virus etc. saying that you could get a virus from it. Now he has learnt his lesson and just listens to me

Thats funny, i have gone without a firewall for a week, (forgot to re-enable it lol) which is only windows firewall, and havn;t even had ainti virus sintslaled on this pc.
