Kunbuntu issue

so, i want to try kubuntu. well, i created the disk, and then when it booted, i went to the "try Kunbuntu without changing hardware"...well, when it loaded...the resolution was ridiculous. I couldn't read the words, there were so small. and its the same way with the installer. so i couldnt install it either... anyone know whats going on?

What kind of monitor are you using, did you try changing the resolution?

Try to start it in Safe graphics mode.

I was using an 26" hd lcd, but then i switched to a regular 17" crt....I would change the resolution, but when I load linux, the words and pictures are so small, I can't do anything.... and i dont know how to run safe graphics mode?
