L4D still worth it?

i've been wanting to play left 4 dead, is it still worth getting? are there people still playing online?
also, is the single player campaign well made, or does it suck playing with ai?
 
I can't tell you about multiplayer (haven't played since l4d2) but I would say you definitely don't want to buy it as a sinleplayer game. While the AI can almost get the job done, it's way better when you can communicate with your team to plan strats. AI will often do frustrating or stupid things and it's hard to srop them from makingmistakes.
 
Imo no its not worth it,get L4D2 instead,Its newer of course,has better graphics and more weapons.

Il tell you now though,L4D gets very repetative imo.

I got bored quick...due to valve not releasing any new maps or adding new weapons like they promised.

i bet the same thing will happen to L4D2.
 
I found L4D to be crap actually. it doesnt feel like a good horror game. the only thing that got me scared a bit were the witches in the game, other than that, its just " shoot everything that moves"

imo the zombies in L4D move too fast and are killed too fast to be scary. I find the kind of monster that moves slower towards you, but just keeps comming much more scary.

Like Nev said, gets repetative very fast, the AI is retarded (havnt plays it multiplayer, but couldnt be bothered after playing a bit of singleplayer.)
there is no story whatshowever, jsut here you have to go.
the game isnt scary, I'm pretty sure they will soon release a scary version "Lego Left 4 dead" or so. (bet the green and black bricks will freak people out.)

Actually, I found Dead Space to be much more fun (and a lot more scary.)

I'm okay with that....:D

But if you wanna kill them zombies (it prepares you for the real world;)) then just get Left 4 Dead 2, may as well since it's newer etc. But it is a great LAN game if that's what you do.

i kind of do like " :gun: everything that moves", but i'm not shelling out $50 for a new release if single campaign isn't well made. i hate dragging AI teammates around.

guess i'll get dead space then.
