Hi, I recently purchased a Lacie d2 Quadra 1TB external Hard Drive. I am connecting it to my Windows 7 Sony Vaio laptop. When I connect the drive via USB 2.0, it correctly finds the drive and installs the drivers. However, when I connect via my FireWire 400 port (Sony iLink), it sees the drive but fails to install the driver. It reports that there are no drivers found for the device. If I switch back to USB, it works fine again...but I really want to use it via the FireWire...any ideas? Thanks in advance.

That drive also has an eSATA port, have you tried using that? It will be faster than USB and FireWire.
