Lag in Windows

Hi all,

Have just had a new PC (9700k, 2080Ti).

Performance in games is excellent, however in Windows sing some software such as Sony Vegas, Adobe Audition, the lag is really poor and noticeably worse than my last, inferior system.

Can you advise what might be causing it?

How much system ram is installed?

16GB. It's now fine in Auditoon and vegas, but oddly happening in Handbrake and CCleaner.

Ccleaner will kinda stop here and there while its working. Not sure what to tell you about the others. You have plenty of memory installed.

It's now doing it on Zoom as well. very, very odd.

Zoom would have to be internet related i would think. What internet speed do you have? Is this a brand new build? Did you build it yourself? Standoffs in the correct places? All the necessary chipset drivers installed? Could have a failing hard drive somewhere.

SO on a hunch, I removed my graphics drivers and reinstalled them. Seems to have done the trick.
