LAN does not connect

I built a tower system from scratch (using my old case) !! <proud
of myself>.

But frequently it does not connect to the LAN. It gives a message about
'network cable not attached' or something like that. But if I disable
and then enable the network connection, it works. Sometimes it takes a
few times.

Is there software that will automate the connection?

what motherboard do you have?

You either have a faulty motherboard, bad ethernet cable, or modem/router issue. Try using a different ethernet cable first, then modem/router if possible. Also try updating your ethernet driver as sometimes this will cause that issue. If doing any of those don't work then most likely you have a bad motherboard.
