I have an Asus M4A8TD/USB3 motherboard, and i cannot get the lan drivers to install, I have windows 7 profesional 64 bit and i've been download the drivers from here, i have no disk drive so the mobo disk is gonna be hard to use.

It would be unusual for Windows 7 to not already have the correct LAN driver in it's database. What error are you getting when trying to install them? Are you positive that it did not automatically install? If you right click My Computer > Properties > Device Manager do you see anything with a warning icon next to it? Do you see anything if you expand the "Network Adapters" category?

hmm, well i am a windows noob, my first windows 7 pc, i use mac normally. it says it cannot find the Realtek lan thing XD (nice description)
and if it is in deep sleep please plug in the cable.

what do you recommend ?

You need to give me the device manager info I mentioned above. That will tell me whether or not the onboard LAN is even being detected by the operating system.

have you tried downloading the latest drivers from here?

Also, if you don't see anything along the lines of "Network Adapter" or "NIC" with a waring sign next to it with in the device manager, and nothing under the "Network Adapters" category then you'll want to check the BIOS to see if for some reason the onboard NIC has been disabled. Also, it's possible that the motherboard is defective which could be causing the whole problem.
