Just built a new am2 for fun, all is running well, but when I try to connect to the internet, I just dosent work. I made sure i installed the drives, called my isp (verizon dsl), and the best they could tell me is that the network card may be busted. I don't belive so, because when I plug it in, the lan indicator lights appear, and my "link" light on my modem appears too, so it must be working. I tried IE but it said "page could not be displayed." There is nothing else I can think of, does anyone elese have suggestions?

I'm not too sure what that means, but I think its just a regular ethernet cable. It's wat I used for my mac and my other pc. I've also used it for XBL...

OK, just making sure... Cross over cable would not work here..

Do you have DSL?
If yes, do you have only one pc on the connection, and are you using a router?

Ok, yes it's dsl. no, I'm not using a router, but once i get it working (hopefully) I may through in a router. But now, The modem is connected directly to the pc, aka one pc connection.

Try this. Right click my network places on your desktop, select properties. In the window right click local area connection (the ethernet connection, whatever it is called) select the properties. The window that pops up has some protocols and services written in a white window in the middle. Select tcp/ip and select properties. Make sure there is no gateway or ip specified in there. If there is, remove it with the radio button selection.

Tried, but it didnt work. any other ideas?

EDIT: Tried some new drivers I found today, but none of them worked. I still dont think its my card because the link/activity lights are on. Does anyone elese have a clue whats going on? Verizon said my internet was ok because they did a test.... hope I can figure this out.

EDIT2: Even tried different cable, still no luck, it still says "limited or no connectivity" for the Local area network. Plz, some1 reply, because I want to know if I should replace the mobo. I think I may have too...
