yes laugh at me allllll you want lol
but my friend insists i host a 2 man laptop wireless lan party (just to start wiht 2ppl, hopefully be pretty big but not huge)
where i live i have a dedicated floor to hanging out and it has 2 desktop comps, a semi small room wiht 2 tables then a billiards table couchs and more table alll of which has highspeed wireless

so i want to start a 2 man lan but then get tips and more people
lan ill choose certain games, and stuffwe can do but yes this will just be like a sleep over with out sleep and just hanging with laptops but you got to start somewhere


any tips and ''what nots'' lol
 
well are you talking about tips on setup or just on the over all thing.

It's not a sleep over, the correct term is lan party, anyway if you're looking for ideas on how to make the event fun make sure you have plenty of games that you and the person you're playing against are equally good at, if you smoke the guy all the time it isn't very fun. Also a good varitey of games is nice to have because you can tend to get bored with the same game over and over again all night. If you are going to have lots of people, team death matches are fun. Cafeine is a must, if you plan to stay up all night LoL. As for setup make sure you have the games already installed because it can be a pain to get everything setup if you aren't prepared. Might talk all night just to get the games working, make sure you firewall isn't going to block the games you're trying to play thats always annoying. Other than that just have fun, if you're looking for more spacific information let me know.
 
1) 2 teams in separate rooms, helps with team planning and stuff, if you play team games.

2) If you're playing CS/CSS, turn the free look off, so people can't spot after they die, kinda ruins the game.

3) Make sure everyone has the games you're going to play. Worst thing ever is when everyone has different games.

4) Make sure where you play it, people can catch the wireless signal or is near enough to the router to look up through eithernet.

5) Make sure your router is fast enough for the # of ppl you're having.

6) Be sure to not get drinks near computer. Things can go a bit crazy and yeah..you get the point

Those advices are more for slightly bigger lan parties, like atleast 4 people. If it's only for 2 people, then you probably want to play online games, as 1vs1 is kinda boring.
