ok, i got a router for two computers in the same room to share an internet connection. however, i can't seem to access the other computer from mine and vise-versa. I tried going into "Create a home network" and made a network on my computer, but on the other one there is some problem. when i try to click on "Create a home network" nothing happens. at all. after clicking it, the mouse shows the loading symbol for a couple seconds, then nothing, so i haven't been able to complete the network yet because of this problem. any ideas of how to get this to come up? i can't access one computer from the other.

to access the other machines in my house I create a folder on the C drive call it In or out or share or what ever you want really. Then right click it and enable sharing (select the share anyway I understand the consequences etc) small hand should appear under the folder. Check the permission so that everyone can access it.

Go to the other machine, do the same

Find the IP of both machines, then go to start > run

type

192.168.0.1\folder name here

the IP above being the other machine you want to connect to

it should then pop up a folder window which is the folder on the other computers C drive. You can then share stuff between the machines.
