LAN question.

Suppose that I have multiple computers on one LAN, which would be around 6 in my house's case. But there are two computers that are mine and I want to have it fully shared, but I only want my computers to be able to view and use the shared data on my computers only...

So it's like this. There's computer A B C D E F, A and B are mine. I want to fully share everything between A and B but at the same time I don't want C D E F to see the files shared, but I can still access C D E F and C D E F can access the things I want them to. Is that possible at all?

well you could put yourself on a different workgroup name than the other computers but i don't think you could browse the other computer's files if you did that, i may be mistaken, although if you could then that means they can browse you therefor defeating the prupose

windows xp is a bit odd with sharing and security even though you are not using simple file sharing. It will be better to do map drives in my point of view.
or if you had a win2k or win2k3 server life would be muc easier

thats true, i run windows server 2003 and it simply asks for a password as soon as you try to browse the computer, that successfully keeps those who shouldn't be looking at my computer from doing so, in addition it asks before they can even see what might be shared.
