Lap top of the GODS

not sure where to get one. I have a friend that works CG for a architecture firm that builds super high end homes. That's the laptop he uses. I think he said it ran well over $8000.

Their site is under heavy construction right now. I imagine they will have online ordering in the near future

There are many laptops for under $2K that would blow that thing out of the water. It does have some cool features, but I don't think that $8000 justifies it. They should have put the 7800GTX in it, not the 9700, and the highest available Pentium M will outperform the Athlon 64 3700 by alot.

that graphic card sucks...and i wonder how 5.1 speakers in a laptop would sound. I bet that thing has like half hour of battery life lol
 
eh, it ok, but it seems like some parts of the laptop are SERIOUSLY underpowered for the price range (you said over 8,000). namely the videocard and processor. while its not for gaming, for that price, it better damn well do everything but make me a cup of coffee!
 
all those things are pretty cool, but why would someone need a "Revolutionary high-density Methanol Multi-stage Copper Heatpipe CPU heatsink design with precision pressure plates" in a laptop that isnt even that good?

unlike lights, you cant see this unless you open up the laptop. But who would want to spend $8000 just to get some fancy cooling things in a not-so-great laptop?
 
the processor is good but the graphics card is a bit lacking. its not the computer of the gods unless its the best ive seen better
 
yea. it's not a gaming computer. The heat sink would let you OC the crap out of the CPU.

Anthrax is also correct about the PUram. It's solid state memory. Besides that it has an extension slot that allows you to plug in a board to accept standard PCI cards.
