Laptop and printer problem

Hey, I was wondering if you guys can solve this problem. The laptop is not mine.

"I recently bought a Toshiba laptop for my girlfriend. She connected her HP laserjet printer to it and it was working fine. All of a sudden, the laptop no longer recognizes the printer and there's some sort of print "spool" error. I tried uninstalling the driver but it didn't work. Apparently this is a common problem with Windows 7 users"

Thanks for any help.
 
Look in services and make sure the printer spooler service is running and set to automatic. Look in event viewer to for any signs of application or system errors.
