Hi, I just bought a laptop for my fiance who is a World of Warcraft gamer and going to school for computer networking. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if it will play WOW sufficiently. He does have a desktop for primary gaming but wants a laptop to go with him to school and such. Specs are:

Gateway M-6816
Intel Centrino Duo, 2048 MB DDR2 dual channel memory, intel graphics media accelerator x3100 with up to 384 MB dynamic vid memory, 160 GB harddrive, and so on.

I have heard that the Intel Graphics Media cards are to be avoided but I want to know if this will work or will I really need to go a step up.

Thanks!:)

yea that will work fine, WoW is a game that can be played on low settings and still look good, of course It will not take the place of his desktop.
I know alot of people that play wow on laptops that are not even that good :D

As long as you have a decent GPU, probably anything besides an SIS or Via, WOW should be playable. I have a friend playing it her 650MHz with a Geforce2 and 512MB RAM. I've not seen it in action, but apparently it is playable...
