My laptop battery is about to die for the last time... If it has a Whr of 49 can I get a new one with a Whr of 73?

Providing the battery is compatible with your laptop then yes. What is the make and model of laptop you have?

Also, do you keep your laptop plugged in constantly? Believe it or not doing this kills your battery faster and may cause irreversible damage to your laptop.

If you use your laptop as a desktop, you should consider removing the battery and just using it plugged in. When you need it to run off battery, just stick the battery in before unplugging it. It's much better for the battery.
