Laptop Brands

I'm getting to be in the market for a laptop that is lightweight, but can game "okay". Doesn't need to be able to play everything on high but I'd like it to handle some games on med/low settings when I'm away from my main machine. I'll be using it for college and ideally I'd have it last me for all 4 years. I've been looking pretty closely at this machine.

Overall I guess my main question is what should I be looking for in laptops and what companies should I look at and what should I avoid? I like the long battery life and the lightweight aspect of this laptop in particular. I don't NEED a touch screen but I like the idea.

Thanks for any help.

Also like the look of this.

The machine you have listed there looks like it will do the job just fine. On the touch screen side of things yes it sounds nice but you probably wont use it. Unless the laptop has the ability to become a tablet you probably wont have any reason to need to touch the screen.

That's a good point. Probably save the money on it then.

Any other thoughts on laptop brands in general?
