laptop cannot see network anymore.

Alright, I don't know if this is coincidence or not but: I sat my laptop down on the floor and came back and my stupid cat was laying on the keyboard. I kicked him off, and he had turned the power off.

I powered it back up and now My laptop is not seeing my wireless network. I've never had any issues with my network before. I went into device manager and I don't see anything wrong. I did a google search and it said to check if the wireless card switch on the laptop has been turned off. I don't see any switch on my laptop.

My router is a Linksys wireless G and I'm using a Dell Latitude D610 computer with XP.

Anyone have any ideas I can try?

It shouldn't be too hard to get you back to where you were. The first thing I would suggest is to temporarily disable either the Windows firewall or whatever third-party firewall that is installed on your machine

Have you chaeck on your network connection if your wireless network is enabled? If it is enabled try to connect it by wire. Check if it can connect to the router.
