Laptop Cooler?

My laptop drops framerates on cod after a few minutes of gaming, it usually starts at around 40-60 and drops to around 30-40 after a few minutes. I am running on my natural resolution 1440xsomething, but I really don't want to go lower. I have no AA on, and smoke detail off. When Idol and only everest to measure my temps, my gpu was 57 degrees Celsius. After 15 minutes of cod, it was 88 degrees Celsuis, or 190 degrees farenheit. I was wondering if a notebook cooler like the zalman nc2000 (17" because the m15x is a little bigger than a 15" notebook) will cool down my laptop much during gaming, and thus improve my framerates. 40fps isn't bad, but sometimes it drops to around 20-30fps after about a half hour of gaming.

I read an article about your laptop and the author did mention the heat as a "con". That cooler you linked seems like a solid one. I use a Targus from a year ago (it's been updated) and it keeps my laptop real nice and cool. A cooler for a gaming laptop is almost a must because they all will build up alot of heat with those GPU's humming around and not having a place to displace all the idol heat. I'd go ahead with your purchase if you want to. I probably won't be far behind you in buying this cooler either..I need a replacement.

I was not saying that as if I thought it was a bad idea, I meant that I doubt it would cause major damage, as alienware m15x owners report temps around there also..

My laptop can be on all day gaming, at a LAN, and be just fine gaming.

I would give you my educated opinion, and recommend you good coolers, and be told you wont get it cause its not black, even though the Silver one would perform better.
