Laptop cooler

ok, since i got a new laptop, i want a really high quality cooler, chill pad, mat, whatever you want to call it. i'm up for suggestions to ones you guys think are good, or maybe ones you've used from personal experience. :)

Your best bet is to find one with fans very far from your laptop's fan(s). Laptops pull air in from their bottom, mats pull air away from their tops. If both fans go at once, you'll probably cause the thing to run hotter.

My suggestion is just use good habits. Be sure it can always breath. If you're using it on a desk, see if you can prop it up some to give it more room to suck in air.

because of the size of the battery, it's already propped up some. are there none that actually push air up to the laptop?

Hi Mojo42,

I'm using one right now. Microsoft cooler pushes air up, but the size is better for netbooks. And it's pretty noisy.
