Laptop disconnecting home wireless connection

I thought it was my laptop but after experimenting with it out of town (it holds a wireless connection no issues) I have concluded it must be something with our home connection. Laptop will stay connected for about 5min then disconnect, repeat. We have 2 other desktops and an ipod on the network that never have any problems staying connected but as soon as I have my laptop on it will disconnect the whole system. Is there something I can do or does it have to be worked through my internet company??

We recently had the internet company out checking lines and hooked up a new router so not sure there is anything to update. I think it started doing this before they came out but I can not really recall.
