Hey guys,i need help and i've come to you hoping you could help me out alittle.

basicly i have a laptop which is dual screen compatible and i am running vista on it. The process to connect the monitor is supposed to be very simple,by simply connecting one end of the vga to the back of the laptop and the other end to the monitor..so far so good...but when that happens my monitor switches on with my desktop background appears but my laptop screen goes blank i mean i can move the mourse cursor on to the monitor but thats about it..i hope some has come across this because its seriously annoying.

kind regards

marko.

You may have to go under the video card settings and change it for either clone or extended desktop.

I don't have much experience with dual video-ing lappys.

Right click desktop.
Select properties.
Go to settings tab.

Im hoping this opens in your window that is viewable. Then you should be able to adjust settings to get what you want.

Hopefully that helps a little.
