Laptop Fan

I was recently told that I'd need to buy a new laptop as my fan was completely stuck

But yesterday I was using it and all of a sudden I could hear the fan trying to work again. Is this wishful thinking and a very active imagination or is it possible that it could have somehow fixed itself?

Eh... it really depends. If it's only "trying" to work, then it's probably still not going to cool it antiquity. Try getting some compressed air and blowing it out. If anything's simply lodged in there, then maybe it'll clear it up. If it still won't work, you might have to consider alternative repairs.

What kind of laptop is it? Some aren't too difficult to gain access to the fan. It may be possible to repair the fan.
