Need a fairly good laptop for college, under 1k hopefully. No real price budget, but I want the best bang for the buck.

What is your preferred size and what are your main usage requirements?

The Sony Vaio SA listed above is a good option if you want something very portable with some moderate game performance. It has an AMD Radeon 6630M and a 13.3" 1600x900 display.

The HP DV6-6C53NR is a 15.6" laptop with a 1920x1080-resolution display that has a considerably faster GPU. Make sure that you go into the BIOS and change the switchable graphics settings from DYNAMIC to FIXED.

The Sager NP6165 has a 15.6" 1920x1080 display and an even faster GPU (GT 650M). Make sure that you select "Windows 7" under "Operating System"

I just listed a well rounded laptop since this person could not tell us what he is looking for, so decent performance/good battery and a good build quality.

Sorry I haven't replied. I do not know what specifically I'm looking for, I guess just a well rounded laptop.

Looks like the Sony is a good choice since both of you guys suggested it.

One question though, is 1080p much better than 720 on a laptop?

I was looking around and found these 2 refurbished deals. The specs seems pretty good for the price, what do you guys think?
