I'm starting to look around for a laptop for college in August and am looking for suggestions. I'm still pretty new to computers and not really sure about what specs to look for. I'm looking for a laptop for streaming, programming, light gaming, etc. It's not essential but I'd like something with upgradability. I'm looking to spend at most $800. Thanks for any suggestions.

What do you mean by upgradability? Laptops aren't the same as desktops..

I hate to say it but that's a pretty poor recommendation. Very weak GPU that'll get run over by an 840M that frequently can be found cheaper. Also that's more of a gaming laptop and I can tell you right now that you won't want to haul that thing around campus. Check out a few of these options.
