Hi

All of a sudden my laptop has starting freezing on me, it could be soon after I start it up, a few hours later. or sometimes not at all.
I'm running windows xp and it sits on a laptop cooler so it doesnt overheat.

Does anyone know how to solve this.

Many thanks

You may be running something that either causes a memory leak or it just might be a virus or it could be windows or it could be x number of other stuff. More details will help.

Hi

It happens alot when I leave my PC on converting dvd's, but it will also happen when I'm just browsing using IE6.
Utorrent is also running most of the time but I'm sure it has froze without this running.I have AVG anti-virus running.

Hope that helps

converting DVDs may be one reason, as far as i know it takes up a hell of a lot of CPU usage etc...

you tried running a virus scan/spyware scan? if not, try it :)

1- might be a virus, trojan or... check ur system.
2-never let other programs (utorrnet or any) open when you convert the DVD.
an advice, convert ur dvds with a desktop computer, p4.not with a notebook.
3-repair your windows. it takes 30min and it will fix it. if you repaired ur windows and it freezes again
4-then cntact the company
