Laptop frozen

I have a Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop about 10 years old. When I try to turn it on, nothing happens. I have removed the battery and try to turn on with only the power cord. Still nothing happens. Any suggestions??

No power lights or anything? Does the fan spin up? If not, is the AC adapter actually good and working? If the AC adapter is good, then you might have a dead motherboard.

Thanks for you time. I looked at my power supply closer this morning. When I plug it into the wall, a green light comes on. When I plug it into the laptop, the light goes out and starts blinking real dim. Sounds like the motherboard? There are no power lights and the fan does not work. Is this computer worth replacing the motherboard, or do I need a new computer. If so, where could I get one from? I use this for word and internet access, no videos, pics or gaming. Thanks for your help. (what replacement brand laptop would you recommend if this is needed)

It's a 10 year old computer. Not worth replacing.
