Its free. going to give to a grand daughter. its a Dell Inspiron 6000.
I want to wipe clean with new install. question is the key on the bottom says xp Media Center Edition and he gave me a installation disc that says XP Home Edition. Can i use this? Keep in mind i would have to use the key on the bottom of the laptop.

Another option if i can is i have a authorized Corp edition of Windows XP Pro.
I would install this if i can on this oem laptop. Would it install?
thanks

No you need an XP Media Center disc in order to use that key. If you wanna use your blanket copy of XP with the blanket key that'll be fine.

sorry Voyagerfan. What a blanket copy. the xp pro i have? And if i can use it i cant find the drivers at dell. Just says xp driver download for this laptop.
thanks for the help. looking at all options and want to make sure i understand.

Yes the blanket copy is the volume edition of XP Pro you said you have. And the version doesn't matter for drivers. Just that they're XP drivers.
