Laptop GPU vs Desktop GPU?

I have a Acer Helios 300, and it has a GTX 1060

what is the difference from that, and a Desktop GTX 1060? (other than the Cooling system of course)

It's still not as powerful as a desktop GPU.

There's no M designated model GTX 1060 for the mobile version. It's just GTX 1060. The gpu itself is identical to the desktop one with the exception of the nvidia boost not being as high on the mobile version due to thermal limitations. The benchmark performance deficiencies are primarily due to the lower clock speed as mentioned and the pairing of a mobile cpu instead of the desktop cpu.
