Laptop Hard Drive Problem

I was going to fix a friends laptop and the piece that goes between the hard drive and the laptop (both ends are sata) are missing. Does anybody know what that is called or where to buy a replacement. HP website and phone service is a joke, no help at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You would have to contact the manufacturer to get a replacement unfortunately.

Do you know what the part is called? That would be alot more helpful so I can search it on there website.

It most likely won't be on their website. As far as I know its just called a hard drive adapter.

Ok thanks. The animated phone person had no idea what I was talking about and told me to look on the website and nothing on there website was helpful, I would email them but I can't find an email address on there website either.
