When powering on my laptop, I get to the "Starting Windows" screen (Windows 7), then "windows is loading files..." but it gets hung-up on it and goes to an error screen that says "windows has encountered a problem...caused by faulty hardware such as a hardrive that is failing".
I have been meaning to create a windows backup disk, but I never got around to it.
Anyway, I removed my harddrive and put it in my desktop and was able to get into every file just fine. Is there a way I could create a backup disk off this drive while it's hooked up to my desktop, then load windows and office on a new drive? I didn't try to boot the desktop off the drive, maybe I should.
