Laptop has booting issues

I installed Avast Premier on my laptop's windows 10 and after restarting, Windows won't load.
It was working just fine before this instal.

At first, I get "Automatic Repair" and then "Diagnosing this PC".
Then it tells me PC won't start and gives me the options as shown in picture 1. When I restart again, the problem persists.





When I choose the advanced options and SAFE MODE, it takes me back to the first problem as above.



What should I do? System restore? Command prompt?

System restore to before avast was installed. And to be honest, you only need the free protection. Don't need the full paid suite.

Yeah, but the premium one was a trial edition so I thought I'd try it.

When doing the system restore, do I have to remember the date or the programs that I have installed? I have never done "restoring" before.

Anything that was installed after the restore date will be gone but hopefully you'll have a date available just before the install of avast.
