Laptop HD capacity limitations...

What determines this? I have a HP Pavillion DV7-1260us. The manual states (2) 500GB, 5400rpm or (2) 360GB, 7200RPM. I'd like to go with (2) 7200RPM, but larger than 320GB.

My bios is up to date. Do the controllers limit this? I don't want to chance getting larger if it won't work.

You should be able to stick any size drive in there. I think those are just the stock configurations it can come with.
