Laptop HD partition problem

Hi, 1st post

I have a Toshiba sateliite laptop, running Vista, with a partitioned hard drive. I have now filled up one partition.

But it wont let me save on the other partition. I want to copy the hard drive to my external HD and then format the laptop HD so that is now one whole HD rather than 2 partitions.

How do I do this?

Also, is there an easy way to keep the programs with the same settings, ie keep my itunes library etc

IF the other partition is labeled recovery, then you can't save anything to it. It's for system recovery only.
