laptop/hd question?

I have a HP Compaq Presario V6000(V6133CL) that needs a new HD.The laptop is missing the hd,so I can't get the info off of it. I think it had a
WD/120GB Sata 5400RPM 2.5"/9.5mm thick in it. Will any WD 2.5" 5400RPM
fit in it? Does the 9.5mm matter or can that be different?
Another question, I have the product key for Windows XP from the laptop but not sure where the disc is that came with the laptop, can I use the key with a different Win XP disc?

All laptop drives are 2.5" and any laptop SATA drive will work.

As long as you find an unbraded XP disc, then you can use that key with it. Just be sure it's the right disc (XP Home/XP Home, XP Pro/XP Pro, etc.)

I do have a XP home cd full version that I will use.
Did you mean any SATA drive or if not what is a SARA drive?
