laptop hdd swap?

Ok i have an old Dell C600 and an HP ZV6233nr. i want to swap the HP's drive with my WD passport 160GB external hdd. i want to know if i can use my HP's hard drive in the passport if i take the 160 out. i want maybe to put my 100 in the dell and put the 20 into the external. I need to know if i can move my hard drives around. thanks!

Same interface, yes. Reformat will be needed however.

you can. just find a corner that squeaks. from there you can pry that apart.

like oscar said be sure that it's the same interface. the passports can be SATA, PATA, or some other interface weird that i forget (not pata).

Which model number is it, because we don't know until someone gives us a model no. If you bought it within the last two years, its probably SATA or SATA II, but before that, its probably IDE.
