So about a month ago I started up my laptop, and it goes to the desktop just fine, but it seems that it doesn't boot up entirely. Skype doesn't boot automatically, Steam doesn't boot automatically. I try and click on firefox to get the browser to come up, and it won't. I try and bring up Microsoft Word and several other programs, not none will come up.
I try and press ctrl+shift+esc to get to the task manager, and that sends my little mouse wheel twirling but doesn't end up coming up. Try shutting down/restarting and it is hesistant, and take several minutes to even close everything, but hangs out even longer just with my desktop wallpaper there.
Power it on and off several times, no fix. So I powered it off and let it sit for a while, and bam. Everything boots up fine and no problems. Well about a month later (today) the same problem happens.
Any fix? It is particularly annoying working on it just fine the night before, taking it on campus the next day and trying to get some work done and absolutely nothing wanting to boot fully.
:EDIT:
and if it narrows the search down, it seems to only have an affect on my admin account. I tried it on the guest account and another user's account on the same laptop, and they seem to run fine.
