ok i have two desktop computers that all go through a router, but im goin to be gettin a laptop soon...does anyone know how i can use the internet on the latptop while my other 2 desktops are using the internet as well? thanks

Well, there are some options available. One thing you could do would be to buy a wireless access point and plug it into your normal router, and then buy a wireless card (if it's not built in) for your laptop. Or you could string cable to whevere you usually use the laptop and just plug it on in.

if your new laptop has built in wi-fi, it should be able to detect and u should be able to get online.

just be careful with wireless if you live close to other people ie neighbours. but if u take appropriate security measures you should be safe. but a wireless network is a very handy thing especially if u have a laptop. if its a good router it should support wireless, otherwise u might have to get a new one. netgear is good

Get a new router. I got my Netgear wireless for $30 after rebates from Best Buy. Just look around and wait for a good deal.
